Selected days
A peaceful moment of simple pleasures
The farm has been owned and operated by the Bonsaksen family for over 400 years. Here you can meet sheep and llamas while learning about the challenges and joys of farming in this mountainous landscape. The farm’s owner, Bente, is passionate about sharing stories of life here, both past and present, and provides a unique insight into everyday life on the farm and the surrounding mountain farms near the Geirangerfjord.
With nearly 2,000 years of history, the farm is one of the oldest mountain farms along the UNESCO-protected Geirangerfjord. The farm is located on a cliff and offers spectacular views of the fjord and the surrounding valleys.
A visit to the farm is an opportunity to slow down and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Sit back with a cup of coffee and a freshly baked waffle with sour cream and jam, while taking in the magnificent landscape. The farm offers a down-to-earth experience where nature, history and local culture meet.
